Our Pantry Services

What is the Pantry?

Catering by Design Pantry offers fresh and frozen take-home meals and treats, including entrees, appetizers, salads, snacks and desserts. All of our food is made from scratch by our culinary team using the highest quality ingredients. You can read more about our Pantry here.

When is the Pantry open?

Our Pantry is open from 10AM-6PM Tuesday through Friday. We also have special holiday hours throughout the year.

How fresh are the premade meals?

We make fresh Pantry items daily, with weekly menu changes.

For home entertainers, Pantry orders allow you to enjoy handcrafted food with less work. Larger offerings (like large entrees for entertaining) that require notice are made the day of your pickup.

How ready to eat are the premade meals?

We have sides and salads that require no preparation, and our entrees and desserts are ready for the oven or microwave upon pickup. Our labels come with clear cooking instructions tailored for each item. Most entrees can also be prepared in the packaging that you bring it home in.

Do I need to order Pantry food ahead of time?

Our two-person entrees can be picked up without an order, although you can guarantee availability with an order online.
Larger pantry meals that serve 6-12 people require at least a 72-hour notice.

Do you have holiday menus for your Pantry?

Yes, we offer holiday selections for several occasions throughout the year. Check back often for limited time menus.

What services do you offer?

As a full-service caterer, we offer china, linen and bar options for any event. We also have the ability to create custom menus and presentations tailored to your taste.

What food options do you offer for events?

With a career of nearly four decades in professional kitchens, our Executive Chef has mastered the wide-ranging skills necessary to make fresh and innovative meals from any culture around the world. While we do have standard menus, we can make whatever food you love a reality.

Are you licensed to serve alcohol?

Yes. We offer wine and beer options for your hosted or cash bars.

What dietary restrictions can you accommodate?

Because we create all of our food in-house, we can accomodate any dietary needs. Options and requests must be discussed prior to the event so we can prepare accordingly.

Do you make wedding cakes?

We do not create wedding cakes, but we do offer a large variety of hand-crafted, signature desserts.

Can you recommend a venue for our event?

Yes, we’ve worked in many types of venues throughout the greater Rochester and SE Minnesota area. Talk to us during your consultation and we can point you to some venues that we think would best suit your event.

Cost

How much will it cost?

The final cost is determined by the menu, level of service, and timeline. We can discuss your plans during the consultation and create a custom quote for you.

What is your payment policy?

We require a 20% non-refundable booking fee for all events. The final quote must be paid in full 14 days before the event to ensure success.

Can we make adjustments to our plan?

Guest counts and menu options can be adjusted throughout the planning process, up until 14 days before the event. After that time, all costs and services are finalized
